WOW!!!!! SPRING 2013 IS HERE FINALLY.
We have waited all winter for this day to come. And to kick it off we had Spring Fling last weekend April 6 & 7. There was over 80 volunteers that showed up to help work on some trails and just clean up the area.
JPFrogg and several other 4x4 clubs came out to help on the trails.
The local Cub Scout pack 457 came out and helped pick up over 2 truckloads of trash that day.

Lunch was provided by the Redbird Foundation over at RedBird Station. My girls did an excellent job cooking all the food and getting the place ready for everyone. Thank you Sonja, Ariel & Sarah Bear ļ

JPFrogg handled some areas of the rock garden and other trails.

The Redbird Foundation purchased a load of rip rap and installed it into the Gourge on Trail 27 and filled the bottomless hole until it quit sinking.

After lunch some of the 4x4¡¦s volunteered to take the scouts on a trail ride. They really had a good time.

We also had a photographer from Adventure Indiana magazine who was taking pictures for the Spring Fling. So check out the following .

We all had a fun filled weekend with lots of action.

If anybody else has some pictures of the weekend feel free to post them here.
The Redbird Foundation wants to thank all the volunteers who came out to help out, and to Shaun and the employees of RedbirdSRA who ran equipment for us. They have been working hard on trails from the past winter that needed attention.
Next big Event is going to be the Memorial Day Weekend. 3 days of fun, so come on out and ride the trails with us.

We will be having a silent auction that weekend to get rid of some of our surplus furniture and other things. Watch for ling coming soon for some of the items¡Kie. Warn M8000 winch, tables, bumpers, tables chairs.
We have been working hard on the Sponsor board in front of Powerline Hill. We are glad to have the following new sponsors. SuperATV.com & Oreillys Auto Parts. Tell them you seen their sign out at Redbird SRA

Also, remember that you are allowed to fish and mushroom hunt on the property. You can also get your Bridal Tags and DNR boat launch permits at the RedbirdSRA gatehouse.
Remember to Tread Lightly and please stay on the marked trails.
And finally HI-LIFT DAY 2013

We hope to see everyone soon.
