i was told Hi-Lift just cancelled, have not heard why, it was a big event that drew a large crowd to the park and I hate to see it end after only 2 years, is somebody from the foundation talking with them to see if they will change their mind?

Has anyone from the foundation talked with them? I would hope it was not any problem with the DNR or the foundation that caused them to cancel. I would want to know for sure what the reason was for canceling the event, it was to good of an event to shut down after only two years. It brought in big numbers, and people to the park that might not have been there before and would return or tell others about the place. I would suggest someone contact them to make sure, just my opinion. Maybe they could change their mind!!!
Kenny being a new small business owner and trying to build on your business I would think events like Hi-Lifts would be important to your business and I would make sure someone from the foundation makes contact with them to see what the problem is and what the foundation can do to help Hi-Lift keep the event going.

Just saw this on the HI-LIFT facebook page,
"We regret to announce that due to scheduling difficulties, we will not be able to host Trail Day this summer at Redbird SRA. We fully plan to host more Trail Day events in the future. The event has been too much fun to simply allow it to fade away... We'll keep you informed of future events. Thanks for supporting Hi-Lift!"
