Well, Labor Day has come and gone, I was afraid it would be a big washout because of the weather. Boy was I wrong.
There were several campers that showed up late Friday and got camp set up before nightfall.
Sat. morning started out great with sun and then a mix of clouds in the afternoon along with a few rain showers. The day started out slow until the afternoon hours and people started rolling in for the night ride.
Several bikes were out and showing their thing along the powerlines.

The day was very muggy and hot and all engines were running a little hot.

Then as evening came, I went out with a group for the first time and it was hot and dark. We were doing good for the night but the engine was running hot and we had to stop several times for it to cool off. But we still had a good time.
Sunday morning rolls in to nothing a steady downpour. As afternoon sits in the rain finally lets up so we could go out again.
My crew that I hanged with.

Yes, that’s right…I hanged with the girls this weekend and had a blast doing it. I loved Ariel’s AMC Eagle, it did really well.
Trails were very slick and tricky to get around on.

Oh! Did I even mention MUD!!!!
It was everywhere.

If you didn’t come back in covered in MUD you didn’t go out into the park.
There were several break downs during the night and spent all day fixing one of them under my covered porch, along with a lot of trips to the auto parts store. Sunday night ride was still an adventure and I was thinking that the morning everybody would be worn out and ready to head to the house.
Was I wrong again.
I wake up to see this line of about 25 jeeps going down the hill towards the parkinglot. I soon discover that Hi-Lift and JK Jeeps were coming into the park on a tour of the place.
There were jeeps, quads, SxS’s everwhere.

It was soon discovered that the famous Powerline Hill was the place to hang out and watch the fun.

At the bottom of Powerline Hill there is a Rock Garden in which you could try out your rock crawling abilities. I didn’t get to see anyone on it, but I’m sure there were several.
I did see several going up the rock trail up to the top of Powerline Hill.

Did I even mention the ”MUD” after all the rain over the weekend.
Well, where there is mud, the kids will always play in it.

Even big kids still play in it.

All good in fun and games, These two came to the shop to get sprayed off by the garden hose before going home.
There were several rescues made during the night ride, just some minor body damage and no finger or toes missing that I know of.
This is all the pics that I was able to obtain, so if you have more and want to continue the story here, feel free to do so.
So it was a very good weekend all around and we hope everyone comes back for the Halloween ride on Oct 27th & 28th .
